Since we were on the subject of youth with Taleb’s quote….
Book smarts and life smarts: It astonishes me that my younger self sat down in hundreds of classrooms curious to learn what I did not know (well, most of the time…).
How many times did I sit down with an elder to find out what they knew? Was it because there was a paucity of people that seemed wise, or because I had a hard time getting curious about what I already knew?
